What You Will Be Doing
- Cleans grease and dirt from metal
- Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated
- Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface
- Sets up projects in spray booth & preps for paint
- Sand and prep metal surfaces before prime & after prime metal will have to be sanded again for final paint
- Mixes and applies epoxies, urethane systems according to a prescribed formula
- Operate conventional and airless spray equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metal and other types of surfaces
- Cleans paint guns and performs another cleaning preventative maintenance to ensure that painting apparatus remains in working order

- Work is somewhat complex. Requires little or no help from supervisors or others to complete assigned tasks
- Complete understanding of the job, company policies and processes
- Applies extensive experience, knowledge, and skills to complete a wide range of tasks
- May operate specialized equipment
- Work requires planning and judgment
- Determines and develops approaches to solving a broad range of complex problems
- May perform light carpentry

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
